Educational Loan Fund
The Loan Fund was established in 1954, through the generous contributions of AAUW GRAB members and other donors to assist area women working toward college degrees. The purposes for which the loan may be used are not narrowly defined and may include expenditures other than loan tuition. It is expected, however, that the loan will be used for education-related expenses. The Trustees meet monthly to review applications. The Jennifer Grimes Lindley Scholarship is unique in that it is for women in engineering and science majors. It was established by the Lindley family in memory of their daughter. It is awarded to young women who are in the first year of schooling or for a returning student after a significant absence. It is administered separately by the Rochester Area Community Foundation, www.rcaf.org.
